Secondary Girls 1-Day Competitions
In the Autumn term there will be three 1-day football tournaments catering for three age groups; year 9/10, year 8 and year 7. This events will be run by the London Tigers and supported by the Westminster Sports Unit. For details of the competitions, please see the downloadable information sheet.
Secondary Girls Football League 2011/12
In addition to the 1-day competitions in the autumn term, Schools are offered the opportunity to enter a league starting in spring term. In a bid to improve attendance and make the league more successful schools have decided to use floating fixtures. Entries for this league will be taken before Christmas and a guideline for fixtures will be given out. The rules and information sheet are available now
Results for Year 9/10 Girls Football 2011
On October 20th, WSU and London Tigers held the first of three girls football tournaments at Paddington Recreation ground. Six schools competed in the year 9/10 category and the day was eventually won by Grey Coat Hospital. In second place was Pimlico Academy and in third place, St. George's. Congratulations to all teams taking part!
Year 8 Girls 1-Day Tournament Results - 2/11/2011
Wednesday November 2nd saw the second of the one day tournaments taking place for the Year 8 Girl's football featuring; Pimlico School, St Augustine's, Westminster Academy, St George's and St Marylebone. The winner's were St Marylebone School, with Pimlico School in second place and Westminster Academy in third.Congratulations from Westminster Sports Unit to St Marylebone School and well done to all the teams that participated.
Year 7 Girls 1-Day Tournament Results - 18/11/11
Another exciting tournament was held on Friday 18th November, this time featuring the year 7 Girls. The tournament was contested by six teams: Westminster Academy, Pimlico Academy, St Marylebone School, Quintin Kynaston and Grey Coat Hospital. After some tense matches, with all but one of the games in the knockout phase going to penalties. Quintin Kynaston were victorious in the 3rd place playoff against Westminster Academy. With Grey Coat Hospital the tournament victors winning a thrilling final, against Runners up St Marylebone School. Congratulations to Grey Coat Hospital on their efforts. Special mention also goes to the Spirit of the Games Award winners. Amber (St George's) - Self Belief, Lita (Quintin Kynaston) - Determination, Alice (Grey Coat Hospital) - Passion, Maisie (St Marylebone) - Honesty, Gabriella (Pimlico Academy) - Respect, Westminster Academy - Teamwork. Westminster Sports Unit would like to thank all of the teams that took part and congratulate again tournament winners Grey Coat Hospital and all of the Spirit of the Games Award winners.

Secondary Girls Football League Rules
Below are the rules for the football league. It is very important that all of the teachers and team managers are aware of these rules as the use of floating fixtures means that teachers will be required to referee games. These rules (not team requirements or format) will also be used for the 1-day competitions.
