WSU Primary and Secondary Cross Country

The Cross Country competition will take place at Regents Park on Wednesday 19th October 2011.  Teams should meet at the Hub at the specified times to receive their race packs.  All the information regarding teams and the event can be found below, please give the information a thorough read.  This is a very popular events which has grown year on year and we want to encourage as many schools as we can to enter into this very simple competition.  Please see the information sheet for general information regarding the competition.

Winners of the 2011 WSU Cross Country Competition

As always, the 2011 Cross Country comeptition was well attended especially by the primary schools - 14 primary schools and 6 secondary schools with a total of 348 children.   The primary competition was well fought with really fast races.  Winning the girls year 3/4 race was Angharad Rainbos from Hampden Gurney whilst Cameron Rennie from Barrow Hill won the boys race in the same age category.  Taking first place for the girls year 5/6 competition was Yasmin Marghini from Millbank Primary and Eric Raphael from Barrow Hill won the boys year 5/6 race.  Overall the winning team was St. Joseph's, with Hampden Gurney taking second place and Barrow Hill coming in third. Congratulations to all those taking part in the competition, you all did a wonderful job!
